We have a friend, who also frequents our bi-monthly table. He is moving soon and gave us his old 3D printer as it would be too bulky to move such a long distance with. My husband and I had been thinking about getting one for a while now. We just wanted to find the right one that we could work with.
I think getting a used one is going to be a lot less stressful. We don’t have to worry about ruining a brand new piece of equipment and we have a friend we can call if something does go wrong. I spent a couple of hours with our friend, learning how it functions and how a miniature goes from print to clean to hardening to complete. This is going to be a great learning printer so that when we are ready we can buy something better with a wider understanding of what to get.
Having this piece of equipment will allow us to print some more unique miniatures too which I am looking forward too. The standard minis are also cool but having unique ones would really bring something new to the table. I am looking forward to learning more and getting this new project up and running.
