The Hand of Destiny was eating at their table within the bustling tavern, enjoying the music flowing over the crowd. There were people everywhere drinking, singing, speaking in crowds. Some unsavory characters lurked in the shadows of the bar waiting for willing victims to stumble across them. Durnan, the bartender, was handing out mugs of ale and cups of wine with the dexterity of a well trained expert.
The entire trip from Novos, across the ocean to the outskirts of Waterdeep, took about two weeks at full speed. The ship was meant to cross the water at faster speeds than most. Since they smuggled goods back and forth quite often, it benefited Captain Coppertree to move faster on the open seas. They made it to land shortly after sending the stowaway Doppelganger safely away from them.
There are two types of gameplay for Dungeons and Dragons, really all tabletop games. You can go old fashioned pen and paper, calculating everything in your head or with the trusty calculator at your side. The other option is to do everything on a tablet, computer or even a phone. There are ups and downs to both of those options.
The next day was bright and cheerful. The party woke up feeling well rested. They were ready for anything. The party headed to Asterisk’s together to get a better idea of what happened in Barovia after they were whisked away. Sylvia, Asterisk’s trusty Manager, explained how the old gods had arrived after the group had been whisked away by Aeon.
Our group woke up on day four of Hammer with the intention of finding work and lining our pockets with gold. They picked up a quest and, after a hearty breakfast, they headed out to the town of Deep Harbor. There, they planned on chartering passage on a boat to investigate some strange attacks happening off the coast.
After getting our delivery, the party set off for the guild hall and came across a clearing. In the center was a satyr. He was playing a beautiful melody with a gorgeous silver flute. Milo started to go into the clearing and after a few steps began to join in with the music. Aleera, seeing that her party was close to being trapped by few magic, began to sing a countercharm.
The party woke up on Day 2 of the month of Hammer in the year of the Warrior Princess, yup we have a calendar. Each week is 10 days long and each month is 30 days. There are still 12 months in the year though. It was around mid-winter according to the time but this area was sunny and warm like summer.
