Miniature Showcase

This miniature was for a two miniature commission. It has probably been the most intimidating commission to date. There are so many small details and delicate parts I was afraid of breaking some of them off. Another challenge was the space between the gun and the orc’s body. It was going to be tough to paint.

Epilogue: Aleera

Aleera was aimless after the battle with the Queen of Ash. She helped with any restoration needed for the city and then slowly began cutting the ties she had built. The time of her promise had come. She would be able to travel with her god forever. That had been her wish and it would be realized as soon as she settled her affairs upon her home plane. She would not be back for a while and needed to let the world go on without her.

NPC Spotlight

Kaladrax had a complicated history with his father. For him it began with beatings when he showed aptitude for magic. He thought his father was punishing him for being adept with magic but the truth was so much worse. Fafnir held a dark secret from the rest of the family. His only confidants were his friend and partner, Marx, and his wife, Glaurunda.

Epilogue: Milo

Milo stayed in Novos for a few months after the events that transpired with the Queen of Ash. He sometimes had nightmares of losing his brother and himself to the red abyss that had been the Feywild. During the time before his departure he did spend some time with the other members of the Hand of Destiny but there was never a formal goodbye. With their ultimate quest completed, they simply drifted apart to take care of various aspects of their personal lives. Milo was no different.

NPC Spotlight

Gigi was always one of my favorite NPC’s in the game. She was a vendor at the markets in King’s Crest. Her small business consisted of a bright pink tent when we first met her. Kaladrax had been the only native of Novos and so the only one who knew of her. When we first saw her tent he groaned and opted to stay outside. It wasn’t that he didn’t like Gigi. His mother had actually loved shopping there but he had hated the frilly outfits she had made him wear after visiting Gigi’s business, The Glorious Gentleman.

Miniature Showcase

This was one of my first dragons when I first started painting miniatures. So, I went with a very simple color scheme. I started off by painting the entire dragon in a bright red. This miniature is the WizKids Pathfinder Battles Gargantuan Dragon, Red model. I like looking back every now and then to see how my work and skill have progressed over time. I think it’s important to show yourself how much you’ve improved sometimes.

Epilogue: Kariss

After the events that had transpired with the Queen of Ash, Kariss worked with the Yuan-ti. She helped them establish a small village in the southern forests of Novos. Her and Gralmor spent years among the new Yuan-ti settlers and helped them build a stable society free from the strictures of their past. They no longer sacrificed to Sssseth or any other god. Many of the actually began to worship Kariss as their savior from the usurper god.

NPC Spotlight

Urstil’s story is a long one full of tragedy and loss. It began when she was born. Not many in King’s Crest knew this but Urstil was actually a high elf, specifically one born from the Dusk Isles. The main island was her home where all the elves took their young to undergo transformation within the large sunflower that bloomed there. Novos was a hub of magical activity from they Feywild. Elves went to the center focus on that island to transform into Eladrin.

Miniature Showcase

Sometimes a miniature you get just doesn’t evoke the theme you want to portray in a campaign. This is when I usually repaint some or all of the miniature to change how they look. The differences don’t seem very different at first but they can change a lot in the scenery you present players.
